Visit of the Secretary-General of the Asia-Pacific Telecommunication Union to the Community Tech Center

Takeo Province, On 12 March 2026, at the Community Tech Center (CTC) located at Sok An Tram Khnar High School, H.E. Mao Sela, Under Secretary of State of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) and Chair of the CTC Project Implementation Working Group, accompanied Mr. Masanori Kondo, Secretary-General of the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT), on a field visit to observe the progress and ongoing activities of the Community Tech Center currently operating at Sok An Tram Khnar High School.

H.E. the Head of the Working Group, informed the Secretary-General about the objectives of implementing the CTC project, its key functions, the progress achieved so far, and the future direction of the Digital Transformation Committee in implementing this project. In particular, the mission is to promote digital transformation in public educational institutions and to encourage digital adoption within local communities, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, with support from local authorities.

The Secretary-General expressed his interest in the initiative of the Digital Transformation Committee to implement the CTC project and supported and encouraged the continued implementation of this project in all high schools across the Kingdom of Cambodia, in line with the original vision of the committee.

Currently, the Community Tech Center (CTC) initiative operates 21 centers nationwide, providing digital skills training and postal services to citizens within local communities.
