CTC It was built to contribute to supporting the process of developing digital human capital, promoting digital literacy, and reducing the digital gap in the community, with four core functions: (1) computer labs, (2) training rooms, (3) post offices, and (4) public halls.

In this meeting, HE Minister Chea Vandet further informed about the role of the M.B.C. in complementing digital technology education to all high school students in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports to promote digital transformation and digital adoption in the community, including strengthening digital businesses, using digital technology at the university level, using digital skills in various jobs, etc.

At the same time, HE Secretary of State San Vathana said that students and citizens in communities with M.B.C. will have the opportunity to receive education on general knowledge, digital technology skills, and necessary digital skills through Live Teaching from Phnom Penh.

Before concluding, HE the Minister also highlighted the achievements and key tasks, including tracking the number of students who passed the exam and the number who received A, B or C grades before and after the introduction of the CET, the full and proper use of the CET functions, a 6-month short course on digital skills, the provision of a master’s degree scholarship in digital technology, the provision of 500 undergraduate scholarships in digital technology for students who passed the exam with A, B or C grades, and the Digital Skills Development Program that provides interest-free loans for studying digital technology.

It is also worth noting that the establishment of the CET in public high schools is a testament to the long-term vision of the CET on developing the digital sector to serve modern education and develop digital human capital at the grassroots level, both in the public and private sectors, to create a strong and thriving digital ecosystem in the community. In this sense, residents living in the community will be able to participate in skilled work and learn about digital technologies such as information and communication technology, new digital businesses, postal services, and e-commerce.
